2025/2026  Charlotte Upp

Charlotte Upp has been part of the Desert Theatricals family since she was eleven years old, performing in both Desert Theatricals Jr. and Desert Theatricals mainstage productions. Some of her favorite credits include Ida in Honk Jr., the Baker’s Wife in Into the Woods Jr., Jovie in Elf Jr., Chava in Fiddler on the Roof, and ensemble roles in Hairspray, Oklahoma, Beauty and the Beast, and South Pacific. Most recently, she appeared as Wednesday in The Addams Family.

Charlotte is deeply grateful to Desert Theatricals and the Desert Theatricals Foundation for believing in her and for the incredible opportunities they have provided. Their guidance, love, and sense of community have nurtured her growth as a performer and as a person. With their support, she plans to continue her theatre education after high school.

Charlotte is honored to receive this scholarship and is thankful to both her family and her Desert Theatricals family for standing behind her every step of the way.

2024/2025 Xavier Brown

Meet Xavier Brown, a current Senior at Rancho Mirage High School. He has been dancing since the age of 2 and a part of the Desert Theatricals family since 2019. He was the winner of two Desert Theater League Awards for his roles in classic ballets such as The Nutcracker and Sleeping Beauty as well as best supporting actor in a high school musical. Xavier debuted with Desert Theatricals in 2019 as JoJo in Suessical, The Musical.  Favorite Desert Theatricals roles include Willy Wonka in Willy Wonka, James in James and The Giant Peach, Benjamin in Joseph...,  and Sebastian in The Little Mermaid. He likes to thank Ray, Josh, the foundation, as well as his family and friends for their continued support. 

2023/2024  Rachel Holley

Meet Rachel Holley, a current High School Senior with goals to pursue education in Musical Theater and Voice Acting. She became part of the Desert Theatricals family while attending our theatre workshops and appearing as Gertrude in our hugely successful Seussical, Jr. produced with the Rancho Mirage library & Observatory Foundation.

 

We were very impressed with her heartfelt application and are proud to help support her on the next “stage“ of her performance education journey. Please join us in congratulating Rachel!
